Witch Trials, Plagues, and Peasant Revolts...✨Oh My!✨
Grade 8 Humanities classes transformed their classroom into a stage, bringing the Middle Ages to life through creative and engaging performances. The students took on the challenge of exploring historic events from the Middle Ages, writing scripts, and performing them to teach their classmates about cause and consequence.
The assignment, which combined research, creative writing, and a generous dose of Middle School energy, showcased the depth of learning and creativity that happens in SMUS classrooms.
❄️Everything feels like a movie!
Grade 9 and 10 students are getting hands-on experience beyond the classroom for Outdoor Day.
They’re shredding slopes at Mt. Washington while others are learning to design surfboards, mastering culinary arts, and so much more.
These unique experiences go beyond traditional classroom walls to inspire growth, creativity, and outdoor appreciation.
🎬 When you drop in on rehearsals and you meet some of the SMUS Senior School musical cast in the upcoming show "The Prom." It was a treat to meet Barry (Jehiel, Gr. 10), Mr. Hawkins (Ben, Gr. 12), Trent Oliver (Ridley, Gr. 11), De Dee Allen (Sonja, Gr. 12), Angie Dickinson (Georgia, Gr. 11) and Sheldon (Levi, Gr. 9) as they worked on their song and steps for Changing Lives Act II.
🎵From Feb. 27 to Mar. 1, students from Gr. 9-12 will come together to perform The Prom at the McPherson Playhouse. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway`s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town`s citizens and the result is love that brings them all together.

🌱 The SMUS Junior School is a bustling place. 🎒
In the very same hour there were Grade 5 students greeting each other outside, Junior Kindergarten students exploring light and magna-tiles, Kindergarten students asking questions and greeting each other with their tiny turtle, grade 5 choir practice, Grade 4 silent reading, Grade 2 basketball in the gym and making habitats for animals in Grade 1.
